Seagull lake is located at the very end of the Gunflint Trail road and is one of the places where people put their canoes in to start the through paddle of the Boundary Waters.

Trail to the water
Look at all those rocks and clear water!
Loaded up and ready to go
One of a few official campsites sprinkled around the wilderness area
This loon popped up in front of our boat!
Loons are super cool birds with the coolest sound ever
I love all the rocks here
happy paddlers
exploring a little cove

Stopping for lunch
I never get the pictures before I take a bite out of it

View from the top of the little hiking trail
Birch bark
beauty shot of our canoe
Lots of crawdads. This one was coming right for me!

We paddled through a few narrow sections that were really interesting
crystal clear water

This was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been.  The water is super clear and the rock formations and trees right next to the water make for a scenic and unique paddle.  I would love to come back here and camp!
