In our efforts to continue avoiding the craziness of Staniel Cay our next stop was just slightly north of it at Samson Cay. Samson is a private island with a beautiful rebuilt marina and buildings with an amazing shallow mangrove area on the inside. We can’t go into the private spot but we can go into the shallows. There was also a new trail on the island across the shallows so we got a fantastic view of the bay!

Samson Cay is beautiful but because it’s still pretty close to Staniel Cay the mega yachts have moved in and it’s nowhere near as quiet and cool as it used to be. Eventually it will probably be off limits to cruisers and all private property.
