Now that the worst of the high winds was over, we finally dropped our mooring ball in Hope Town and headed further south. We pulled into a little anchorage just outside Tilloo Pond, which is just a small pond inside the rocky length of Tilloo Cay.

Finally on anchor

We dropped the dinghy down and finally went out to do some proper exploring! Our first stop was the pond, mostly to see if we could get the big boat inside!

Cool cloud formation

Old destroyed dock
Ruins of something

Fun fact: we can probably anchor Onward in the pond in a pinch! That sorted we carried on further south to see if we could get Onward over the shallow sand bar to save some time. (Verdict is still out on that) However on one of the big sandy beaches we noticed a cruiser hangout spot and another dinghy so we motored over there to check it out and say hello! Met a cool couple with a cat on a 33’ boat.  I hope we run into them later in our trip also. The hangout was awesome. They had chairs and hammocks and tables and all kinds of random scavenged decor!
