We all had a rough night last night.  It was hot out but also had no breeze so it was super muggy and gross.  To make matters worse though, it kept raining off and on all night to where we decided to just close up the tent instead of having to keep waking up and messing with zippers and velcro every time we heard a few drops on the roof. Annoying, but that’s camping I guess.  I treated myself to my usual morning coffee and started packing up our stuff to start the day!

One of the things that we really wanted to do on this trip was a hike up to a saddle on the ridge where the river gets so close that you can see both sides at once.

This was an excellent hike! The weather was perfect and the views were epic! ….but we got a late start this morning so it was time to carry on!
