The water up this way is shockingly clear and we kept driving by Au Train river marveling at it until we realized that they do kayak and canoe rentals and we can pay a small fee and have a company shuttle us so we can paddle our canoe on it!

This paddle was probably one of my favorites of the trip so far. The river was calm and amazingly clear with a gentle current.  It snaked through quiet forests and grassland with tons of birds to see and no other people until we nearly got to the end.  Truly a breathtaking place.
