Jason and I drive over a few bridges twice a day to go work on the boat. The bigger bridge goes over black creek. After a little research on google maps I found a few small boat launches further up the river, so Jason and I loaded up the paddleboards to check it out!
The creek is fairly wide and the banks are lined with expensive looking houses, most with their own dock. Further up the creek there are mangroves and cypress trees dripping in spanish moss. The water isn’t murky, but it looks like it’s been dyed red. Very unusual. I wanted to go swimming, but also *didn’t*. Overall, aside from a few annoying jet skis it was a really pleasant paddle!
