Today I spent some more time putting my engine back together… although if i’m honest, most of that time was spent scouring the boat looking for the pieces I needed.  The actual install was very quick!

I couldn’t leave the bolt heads rusty, so I painted those too!
Thermostat housing also matches!
Manifold installed and also the coolant pipe below!
Shiny new coolant cap
Bling bling!

Jason was working on his electrical install while I messed about with the motor.  We finished up our tasks and moved up to the top of the boat.  We’re having the boatyard pull the mast out of the boat for some repairs and to replace the steel cable rigging on thursday, but to prepare for that, we had to take the boom off of the mast! Jason’s creepily good at tying things together with rope, so he had something rigged up and the boom was laying safely on the deck in a few minutes.

Something missing! (also Jason)

We stopped at the entrance to Black Creek that we pass every day on the way to the marina to see if we wanted to go paddleboarding there.  It’s a pretty place!

Lots of plants here, but no gators that we could see
We drive on that bridge a lot! Also an overcast day. It’ll be better tomorrow!
