For some reason I’m fascinated by airplane wrecks, so when I learned about one in the Bahamas where we were going to be that was shallow enough to snorkel, I immediately wanted to visit it! Apparently the island and Norman’s Cay was used for drug smuggling in the 80’s and the plane was one that didn’t quite make the runway.

We arrived at Norman’s Cay fairly late in the afternoon. We got the boat anchored and headed on over. It was low tide, so the airplane wasn’t even completely submerged! I knew it looked shallow but didn’t realize quite how shallow it was! It was a really interesting snorkel!
