Shroud Cay is one of the larger islands in the Exumas, but it’s distinguishing feature are the rivers that run through it with mangroves. The mangrove itself is a separate blog post, but at the end of the river (maybe a 30 minute ride) is the most perfect beach I’ve ever seen.  The shallow water was bright turquoise and blue with perfect tiny islands in the distance.  The sand was literally the softest I’ve ever touched… it felt like flour! At one point I got excited and started digging a hole and rolling around in the sand.. because I’m an adult and I can do what I want…

The river water was so shallow and clear!

It wasn’t super sunny that day. Just going to have to go back!

I bet this beach is spectacular in the sun

I would have loved to come back here the next day with a picnic and just swim and explore. Unfortunately, we had other places to be, but I’m definitely coming back here! It’s one of the most amazing places I’ve ever visited!
