Last time we did the hike up to the Turn Point Lighthouse on Stuart Island I noticed an old car crumpled up in the woods and hastily made my way down to check it out.  Because it’s an old car, it’s broken as hell, and I really just can’t help myself!  This time I came prepared with all my lenses and my flash equipment to really give it a go of shooting this thing properly.  Photography in the dark woods with harsh dappled overhead sunlight isn’t an easy task on a normal day, let alone when there’s something specific you want to take pictures of.  Hence the flash… I still haven’t identified the car as most of it is crushed and anything of value (or anything interesting…like badges…) has already been removed.  Best I can tell is it’s a late 30’s or early 40’s 4 door sedan.  Probably had the ugly “humpback” trunk lid.  It was also originally two tone blue.  I wonder what the story is.
