The Turn Point Lighthouse is located at the far end of Stuart Island. (Obviously… it would be a shitty lighthouse if it wasn’t at the obvious pointy end of a bit of land…)  The trip to the lighthouse and back from the dock is just over 6 miles.  It feels about twice as long every single time. 😉

By the time we made it out to the end, the wind was really howling!  There were only a few sailboats out probably having an exciting day on their way to shelter for the night before the storm hit!
