I didn’t get many photos of our passage this morning since I found a book to read and was just enjoying the sound of the boat motor and watching the scenery go by. We landed in Telegraph Harbor on Thetis Island. Maybe we’re just in the wrong area, but all the harbors here have marinas at them. In the San Juans there were so many islands where the only thing there was a public floating dock, or a few mooring balls. It’s just an interesting difference. It also seems like there’s a lot of commercial traffic out here and a ton of ferries. Telegraph Harbor Marina has coffee and ice cream, which is really how we make most of our decisions. Also, marinas here in Canada are expensive… we won’t stay at as many on the trip back south. It’s starting to get ridiculous. Anyway, we took the dinghy out “the cut” which is like 20′ of water between 2 islands and out into the bay. Fun little trip. The rocks here are sandstone and the bottom is mud with clams. Very different than the volcanic rock and stone beaches of the San Juan Islands.
