Our only experience with Annapolis was at the Annapolis sailboat show we attended a few years ago. I only remember a little bit of the town because we spent all week in a class and wandering around the show located at the marina in the historical downtown area. It’s an entirely different experience being here on your own boat. With the dinghy we could pick up a mooring ball in a quiet cove and just motor into the heart of the historical district. We spent a lot of time wandering around looking at the old houses and historical buildings. (Have you noticed I love old houses?)

Through the drawbridge. Timed it perfectly and barely had to even slow down!

I was glad we had time to really wander around Annapolis. It’s fascinating being in a place with so much history. One of the restaurants we wandered into had a sign about how Benjamin Franklin ate there once. Overall, Annapolis is a pretty neat place and I’m glad we got to go back.
