We woke up early this morning and sailed out into the open ocean headed to Cat Island. (Spoiler alert: there were sadly no cats!).

I still have a soft spot for Island Packets so when we were coming up to pass one I dug out my real camera equipment and got some good shots of it! It was easy to find the owners on Facebook to share the pics afterward!

The following few hours were pretty boring.  We didn’t catch any fish and just hung out outside with Duster.

The ocean is a deep jewel blue when it’s deep but once we got close to land the color changed to a bright stripe of electric raspberry blue.  Photos don’t really show how striking it is!
