Back in the day Jason used to do whitewater kayaking on the St.Francois river in Missouri. While we were out here visiting we took a drive and went down to the river to check it out.  I’ve never done whitewater so it was neat to see some people out there paddling around in the rapids.

The river is really pretty!

Someone fell out of their kayak and I got pictures of it on the way down. They got the boat wrangled and the person got back into their boat alright after a little hiking along the shore.

In the parking lot of the little part that people launch their boats from is a tree that has a loop in it.  According to Jason when he was there last there used to be a hole in the tree, but it’s gotten a lot bigger!

I’m really glad that we got to see all the fall colors still.  Missouri also has way more rocks than I remember.  All of the hikes we’ve done have boulders and rock formations on them which is fun to see.
