Like I said in the previous post… we’re selling our 4Runner and moving up to a fullsize truck to put a camper in! After scouring the internet for all available options we decided on a diesel truck, mostly for the fuel mileage and associated fuel range, which is something that’s important to us offroad. We needed a 2500/3500 series truck to be able to handle all of the water/fuel/tires/camper weight we’re going to bring with us.
The truck we settled on is a 2005 Dodge Ram 3500. We weren’t looking for a 3500, but hey, whatever. It has 160k miles and has all kinds of mods on it for reliability. There’s even an entire fuel filtration system. It’s got aftermarket suspension (not as nice as our other rigs, but it’ll work!) and all of the steering and axles redone along with custom steel bumpers! It also has the Cummins diesel that everyone raves about. I hope it ends up being a nice reliable truck for us for a long time!
You may be wondering.. “but what about the 4Runner?!” Well…. our good buddy Ian is buying it from us! So problem Solved! We got it all cleaned up and are leaving it in Missouri for the time being so we don’t have to drive 2 cars back to Florida only for Ian to have to drive it straight back from Florida to Utah!
