All the smoke in the air recently has made most of the photos I’ve taken seem a little off and more hazy and red in hue.  This morning on the way out of the Steens mountain and down into town the road was long and winding through grassy valleys full of a light fog.  The fog with the haze made for some pretty interesting atmospheric conditions especially when coupled with the morning sunlight, however the main attraction in this area is the wild horses! Ever since we first started coming here I’ve seen the wild mustangs down in this lower part of the mountain and I was glad to see that they’re still there.  Not only just the small herd, but multiple huge herds! Gorgeous! (no room in the truck though, or I’d have one!)
