I finally got all of the galley drawers and doors painted and reinstalled. Jason and I also put the big freezer door back in place.  In short, the galley is now back in one piece!  I love the colors I chose and I think it looks fantastic!

I realize though, that I forgot to paint the side of the lower cabinet underneath the ladder! Whoops! I’ll get to it later.

Now that the galley is more sorted, I can focus my attention back onto finishing my coffee cabinet! (IE that gaping hole on the left side where there’s nothing and you can see bare fiberglass and wiring…) I measured (like 5 times) and made my template for the vertical piece and for the back panel.  The cabinet that was there before was like half height.  The new one will go all the way to the overhang and be taller to make room for my coffee pot and bean grinder! 🙂

To start, I need to remove this little stub of trim
Done! I will add a vertical “wall” piece above where the old cabinet stops to fill the gap!
This will be the side piece. I’m using the old stove cover piece because the wood is the right thickness!

I still don’t know how I will do the front doors, but I’ll figure that out after I get the side and back finished!

Another late afternoon thunderstorm

We still have 3 more layers to put down for our varnish on the outside rails for them to be done, but overall progress is really being made on the boat right now! It’s so close to being done!
