Practically all of the wiring before the main AC and DC panels needs to be replaced and redone on this boat.  Jason has been designing the system with all of the new components for what seems like months now, but we’re finally to the point where we have all the parts that we need (except batteries…they come in later this week!) to actually finish it up!

Fuses, battery protectors, busses, and wiring is DONE!

We’re going to have three solar panels so for maximum efficiency, each will have its own controller! They’re located in the aft lazarette where the old charger was located.

Pretty fancy!

Since the main panels are both now connected to their source, I can actually finish routing and zip-tying all of the wires in a clean and organized fashion.  It doesn’t look like a squirrel lives in our electrical system anymore! 🙂

Nice clean bundles!
I did what I could with the factory bus bars

I literally had to cut every single zip tie in the run from here to the battery box, so there are wires everywhere.  It made it a lot easier to trace wires and add and remove them.  Reattaching this bundle along the bulkhead is the last thing I have to do in this space to be done!

This is unfortunate. But we still have a few things to install!

It was a short day yesterday since Jason and I planned on going kayaking.  Unfortunately, the place we were going to drop the boats in the water was closed, so we gave up and went to our old spot, but it was overrun with jet skis being annoying.  We had a short paddle and came home.  The upside is that the local chinese restaurant is open now and they make outstanding sushi!

tempura shrimp with mango inside and covered in coconut with coconut sauce! Delicious!
