I’m back down in sunny Hawaii on another work trip. (I know, life is so hard!) Since I’m here for a few weeks, mom decided to hide from the rain in Washington and fly down and hang out with me!  She had mentioned finding the famous “Dole Whip” so we woke up on Sunday morning, gathered the rental car, and headed out on our quest!  The Dole Plantation is in the middle of the island closer to North Shore so we got to see some of the smaller towns and more rural countryside.  Quite the contrast from the busy, touristy shopping center of Waikiki!

Doooooole!!!
We had the garlic parmesan and then had to live with our awful breath the rest of the day
corn!
…bucket o’ corn
The famous rainbow eucalyptus
Isn’t the bark pretty?
All kinds of pineapple crap
Local beers
Coffee roasting demonstration
Cute little puffy pineapple pets
The little train that we didn’t ride
Cocoa beans!
DOLE WHIP! This stuff is pineapple magic in a cup…
So much pineapple
Dole whip options!
Directions! We’re pretty far from most of everything down here.

The other side of the sign.

We had a great time wandering around the grounds, eating delicious food, and buying stuff from the gift shop.  The Dole Plantation is pretty touristy but never disappoints!
