Flowers have been the subject of art and photography for centuries now, if for no other reason than the fact that they usually have pretty colors and good lines. So you’ll have to excuse two flower posts in a row. It’s spring here and I’m working with what I’ve got, which is a shitload of gorgeous flowers. 😉
This week’s photo challenge subject is “under.” You might be wondering how I got flowers from that? Honestly, it was just easy shooting and since I’m behind on this challenge anyway I went for it. However, I also made a point to meet the intent and took a lot of these shots from underneath the flowers pointing up into the sky. This made for nice non-distracting blue backgrounds on some of the shots, and a soft colorful background of the other flowers for others. Definitely a technique to keep in mind for isolating a subject.
