This post actually got lost in my backlog of blog post drafts.  Hat Creek Rim Scenic Viewpoint is located off of HWY 44 in the Lassen National Forest just past the Lassen Volcanic National Park.  Since HWY 89 through the park was closed, we took 44 and stopped here just because it happened to be on the way and it looked pretty.  This particular spot is also where the Pacific Crest Trail crosses over.  It was neat to see it.

The weather was rolling in and snowing pretty good in the mountains, so I got some pretty moody landscape pictures. Overall, a worthwhile stop!

I usually don't get the sun stars so distinct. So that's fun.
