It’s finally stopped raining and the sun has started to come out. Which means…flowers! 🙂 I *JUST* missed the cherry blossoms in Japan, but luckily the flowers up here in the Pacific Northwest are just as pretty. Although, ironically enough, some of the prettiest cherry trees are in the Albertsons grocery store parking lot. Either way, I had my camera with me down at the marina and managed to find the time to stalk some flowers and play with my new toy: an extension tube! Extension tubes mount between the camera and the lens and essentially minimize the focusing distance.  On my Sony/Zeiss combo it ended up creating almost abstract images at times.  I had a lot of fun playing with it.
