Cabin in the Snow

After our second tour of Thingvellir National Park and the geysers, Jason and I headed out to our little cabin in the country.

We were a bit worried about all the snow that fell, but the roads were decent enough.

This little cabin was not only cute as hell, but was also located in the middle of nowhere (or at least as close to the middle of nowhere as we were going to get in winter with a rental car). Introvert paradise! We read books and relaxed and drank coffee. It was marvelous!

I had also chosen this location in the hopes that it would be out of the way enough for us to see the northern lights! We were not disappointed! 🙂

Looks like it was super bright, but it really only shows up that green due to the long exposure on the camera.

I can finally check the northern lights off my bucket list! 🙂
