Jason and I saw the aurora in Iceland a few years ago and have been wanting to see another one since! It was mindblowing!  The aurora app on my phone said that we had an ok chance of seeing one sunday night, so we found a random side road and drove up into the mountains a little bit to get away from the city lights and give it a shot! The aurora started out as a faint green glow as it did in Iceland.  It then kicked up a bit with a few little ribbons that were fun to watch, but I didn’t get a photo of since I didn’t have my camera out and ready. (dangit!) Unfortunately, it died down a bit into a single green smear across the sky. Still pretty cool, but not amazing.  I guess we’ll just have to come back!
