Perlan, or as it’s known in English “The Pearl”, is another one of those inexplicable Icelandic landmarks.  It’s simultaneously hot water storage tanks, an observation deck, a bar, and an exhibition hall. I get the impression that they use it for whatever they want! The glass dome and walls are spectacular and it’s location on top of a large hill gives a nice view of the city below.

Not much going on here tonight (apparently it’s another epic place to go to watch fireworks for new year’s eve!) so we saw it and went on about our day…  Ended up back by the marina where I snapped these gems:
