Well…. after a few years of sharing one truck between 2 people, we finally caved and bought another car! 🙂 2013 Mini Cooper S John Cooper Works! I LOVE THIS CAR! Honestly, I’d always discounted the Minis as being cute but slow and I figured they were fun, but I wouldn’t actually pay money for one. I was actually quite wrong.  This whole thing came about because my friend Jessica was shopping around for a new car.  We were out test driving all manner of things and one of the cars on her list was the Mini Cooper Countryman, the big 4 door maxi-mini cooper.  I had a freaking blast driving that thing…. and if the 4 door is quick and fun, the tiny one should be even moreso! So I went back later with Jason and test drove a regular hatchback S-model Mini… and were also considering a used Works on craigslist with the optional “sport suspension” package.  We’d heard mixed reviews about the sport suspension.  It seems some people think it’s nice while most others think it rattles the fillings out of your teeth so the dealership let us loose in this lovely little orange Works car with heated suede Recaro seats and all the options… That man is a genius.  This is the most fun I’ve had in a car in a very very long time. It’s not blistering fast… but it handles like it’s on rails… it doesn’t roll or move about when turning, it just changes direction.. it’s like a go-kart on steroids and I’m obsessed with it! Not to mention it’s my favorite color combination on a car ever.  I’m officially a Miniac. 😉
