Since we left Nanaimo about 2 in the afternoon, we didn’t really have plans to do anything active tonight. Just anchor, cook dinner, and relax after our very exciting morning. We decided on Herring Bay on Ruckston Island. It was a pretty popular anchorage, but we got some reading done and I finally got my sunset photos and some glamour shots of Blue-J. She’s been looking a lot nicer the longer the trip goes on. I’ve waxed all the interior woodwork, we buffed the blue painted stripe on the hull, I cleaned the bimini top, and have been slowly working my way through sanding the exterior woodwork for stain. She’ll return to Port Orchard an entirely unrecognizable boat! Even though she’s got way too much baby blue for my tastes, she does have very nice lines. Just a classy looking little boat!
Good night Blue-J!
