Now that it’s regularly in the 90’s with hellish humidity in Arkansas it’s time for our annual “GTFO hot weather” road trip! We haven’t been to Washington State in a few years and we’ve got a lot of friends we want to see, so that’s our final destination for the summer. We had a few maintenance items to address on the camper before we left, so after we hammered that all out, we loaded up our little Oliver camper and hit the road!
Since the weather was so hot we headed pretty much straight north up the highway. Along the way I had literally the worst coffee of my life at a Caribou Coffee. Like, usually I’ll just finish it anyway, but this abomination of a latte just got thrown away and replaced with a safe Starbucks Nitro cold brew. Much better!
We drove pretty far and ended our first day at Griffin Park in Pierre, South Dakota! There was a cute little bike path along the river (also river rocks for the taking!) and the most lush, beautiful grass I’ve ever seen!
