Chris’ dad flew in to visit them on Sorn but they also rented a little Airbnb on Great Guana Cay instead of shoving everyone onto the boat. So now that the wind event was over we all headed up there to hang out and take warm showers at the Airbnb! (Thanks Sorn!) Jason and I stopped at Great Guana with some friends our first season in the Bahamas and anchored here for a night on our way south this trip but we’ve never really explored the island much. We ended up snagging a mooring ball in a little bay just for convenience and spent a few days on the island.
Great Guana has a beautiful long sandy beach along the ocean side. Unlike a lot of the southern islands there was minimal trash. It’s also extremely convenient to visit due to its proximity to the airport at Marsh Harbor and the ferry system between the islands. I can see why people come here to visit!
