One thing the surveyor noticed while looking at this boat before we bought her was that all of the thru hull fittings and valves below the waterline need some attention. Three in particular were a risk of the boat sinking. Obviously we need to get that fixed!

Corroded and gross

They’re easier to remove if you just drill them out from outside the boat

As usual we didn’t just replace them with the same thing, we upgraded them to better ones with the correct threads and nice backing plates so they’re stronger and more reliable!
