Now that we’re back in the states we can order a bunch of stuff for the boat! Our current microwave is a combination convection oven (like we used to have on Peregrine) but the oven part never worked for some reason. It’s also just a gigantic microwave in general and overkill for us so we decided to replace it with something smaller. The new microwave frees up a little space in the cabinet so we can store stuff there, uses less power, and is a combination microwave/convection oven/air fryer! Mega fancy!

To begin, we had to drag the old microwave out of the hole. Fun fact: it’s reallllly heavy. The wiring had been extended so the plug would reach the outlet all the way in the lower part of the cabinet, so we ended up having to just cut it free.

The new microwave was considerably lighter so after cutting the end off the cable and splicing it onto the wire that the old microwave used it just slid easily into the cabinet.

This microwave has a LOT of features. I’m sure jason will figure it out and start churning out even more amazing meals!
