Finally the wind died down and we felt comfortable finally leaving the safety of Prime Cay. We had been there for like 10 days, which is too long. It’s time to finally move!  We needed to head back north to pick up Jason’s mom in a few days but we don’t want to spend any more time at Staniel… so where does that leave us? Black Point! It’s one settlement south of Staniel but a completely different vibe. There are no tourists here (aside from a few tour boats grabbing lunch at one of three restaurants). The anchorage is littered with cruising boats of various types. There are a few little tiny convenience stores but no real provisioning to be had here. However it’s a welcome retreat from the chaos of Staniel Cay.

Lots of boats here right now
The dinghy dock
Way cheaper to ditch garbage here than at Staniel!
Fresh coconut bread can be bought from Lorraine’s mom in the White House behind the restaurant!

I usually see sharks here but none today.

Just some artsy colors

There is apparently a blow hole up the road here so we went on a little hike to find it. Fortunately it wasn’t too far at all, but unfortunately it was low tide and not very active.

Need bigger waves!

I took my kayak out to get some exercise. On my way back to the boat I see another kayak coming my way! She wanted to see if I wanted to go paddle some more. I’m always down to make some new friends so Lisa and I headed out for another loop of the anchorage!

Look at all those boats!
Hey new friend!
