The weather this afternoon was pretty much perfect… sunny, warm, and no wind at all. I decided it would be a good day to put some sails up!  We started with the smallest one just to see how it would go, so we installed the staysail! (the little one up front behind the big one up front!)

Putting up the sails
Sail gets really skinny at the top!
Its up!

We had to roll it in and out a few times before we got it where we wanted it, but eventually we got it rolled up all nice and neat!

done!

That’s 1 of 3 sails.  We’re going to wait until we’re in the water to put up the other 2, much larger, sails just in case it gets windy.  They make too much power when rolled out to do when the boat is up on stands and we can’t feather into the wind.  I was hoping to be able to get the sails installed mostly just to get them out of the aft cabin, but I guess I’ll just have to deal with it. 😉

Either way.. she’s now legitimately a sailboat again!

Now for the random stuff! Mom bought me this cute little sign for the boat.

Ill end up hanging this somewhere for sure! just not on my table!

Jason and I had a really small lunch and we were both super hungry for dinner.  Since neither of us have any willpower we stopped for a pizza… but Jason got the super extra jumbo large.  It barely fit in the front seat of our Dodge 3500…

it still just counts as one…
