Our plan was to continue on to Victoria in the mysterious land of  Canada… but the currents and weather were pretty dead set against that happening.  We ended up cruising North to Bedwell Harbor and Poet’s Cove to clear Canadian customs and hang out for the night.  We had the place nearly to ourselves, which was apparently unheard of for the usually busy customs port!  Poet’s Cove is a little resort that has a spa, pool, and all kinds of fancy pampering type amenities.  (the food was awesome!) I still think having shore power is a luxury item, so I didn’t get a massage or anything.  None of us brought a swimsuit either, so we took the dinghy to the beach to hike instead of lounging around in the pool.

Jessica's dad bought her an EPIRB for the trip. We named him Herb and took "roaming gnome" photos of him in various locations to mess with daddy-dearest. Who knew safety could be so fun!?

Since the next post is going to be about Victoria, Canada (yes, we finally make it there!) I’m going to include these pictures of the pair of whales we saw on the way down.
