I posted earlier about the day trip that Jason and I took down to Carcross before the workshop began. We explored the main part with the shops, the historical buildings, and the old steamwheeler. (because Jason looooooves boats!) I figured that going back with a different group would result in a different set of photos entirely and I was 100% correct! We stopped for lunch at the cafe so I got a tasty coffee treat and a really nice sandwich, then proceeded to shoot until we had to leave so we could return the van to the rental place on time!
The first place we photographed was this old green house with yellow trees in front of it. We all lined the sidewalk and shot the everloving shit out of this house. Multiple cars crept by trying to figure out what we were so interested in. I don’t think they saw how nice the colors were…
Everyone else in the group had big zoom lenses.. mine, in comparison, was not. So instead of zooming in and getting the shot that I wanted, I shoved my camera into a fireweed and did some artsy stuff instead!
I got bored of the wall and started shooting the building behind us. I got a photo of it last time, but I love the texture of the layers of metal.
Eventually everyone else got bored of the wall too and we began a slow wander around the main part of Carcross away from the tourist area.
…aaaaand before anyone says anything, (looking at you, Lawrence!) the last train of the season had just left that morning so the tracks were fair game! 😉
