It’s a good thing Jason has been working on running all of the lines lately.  He finished all of that up and could finally tie the boom in place so it wouldn’t move in the wind that we may or may not get.  All the lines outside the boat were cleated off, all of our trash is picked up, and everything outside that could blow away was moved inside.  We decided to take our canvas dodger off of the boat too just in case.  I’m not sure it would survive much more than 30mph wind…it’s pretty beat.  It looks like hurricane Isaias isn’t going to be much by the time it makes it to Jacksonville, but I’d rather be safe than sorry!

Look at all of those fancy red lines!
All clean!
No canvas to get beat up…
I wrapped the pedestal with a heavy duty trash bag just in case. We’re not quite done with all of that stuff yet.
All tied down and ready to rock!

I really wish we had our rear arch installed because that would seal up the rest of the holes in the back of the boat… but it’s not meant to be! I did take some time yesterday to install the new tank vents in the transom and also to install the access hatch that we’re using to seal up the huge 3″ hole left over from the windvane autopilot that we removed!

All watertight now!

The transom is done now, so I can start designing the graphics to put the name on the back! 🙂

While Jason was up top messing with the lines, I stayed below to get some odds and ends done inside.

We had another ant infestation. Super annoying.
Finished up the plumbing installation in the galley!
We have a mystery leak. I can’t look at it now, so I rerouted the potential drips with trash bags until I can fix it.

Hurricane prep is all done.  Isaias is only a Cat 1, but I’m still worried about my boat! When we lived in Florida in college, the hurricanes didn’t matter because we didn’t have anything to worry about.  I just put my computer in the Camaro and drove somewhere else.  Now we have a boat! Tomorrow I guess it should blow over and we can go see where all of the leaks are located…
