My inspiration for this shoot came from this article on PetaPixel:

Ugly Photoshoot at Lowe’s

The photographer and model in the article went out on purpose to shoot at an ugly location to see what they could get.  I love challenges like this and met up with Chelsea at the local Home Depot to do a similar type shoot!

I was most excited about the lighting section.  I love that area anyway and love all of the big shiny fixtures! Unfortunately, this Home Depot hangs all of their lighting super high so it was hard to get it behind Chelsea at all! We made it work!

That sequin dress is perfect!

I also thought that the outdoor section would be a gold mine, but it wasn’t quite warm enough for the plants to really be blooming and everything had a giant tag on it! (I was hoping for cherry trees!) We only got one picture that worked out.

Through the branches

Another fun fact about Home Depot… they have SO MANY employees. Mostly I think they were just checking out Chelsea, who looked amazing in her sequin dress!  It still made me a little paranoid trying to take pictures when every aisle seemed to have multiple people and security cameras watching our every move! We hauled ass through the window and door section and paused for maybe 10 seconds to get this shot:

Nice framing!

I couldn’t go through an entire store and not shoot down one of the aisles! They had a cool set of orange stairs and a forklift! Chelsea killed this shoot with pose after pose! I couldn’t shoot fast enough!

It was pretty much closing time so we bailed and headed back to the car, but on the way I noticed the big concrete columns that supported the roof of the loading area!

This shoot was a TON of fun! I can’t wait to do another!
