Jason and I started one morning with a hike through the Tanyard Creek nature trail.  It was way prettier than I expected.  I find that Arkansas doesn’t advertise any of the state’s natural beauty.  It’ll just be a tiny sign saying “waterfall” and then BAM there’s this gorgeous flowing waterfall cascading through rocks.  We finished our hike and I was so excited about it I poster online to see if a model was also free so I could shoot the area properly.  Luckily, Bekah responded and we met up an hour later!

We started our shoot at the lower part of Tanyard Creek Falls called “the rapids”.  It’s a beautiful spot with uniquely shaped rocks and Bekah wasn’t shy about getting in the water and climbing around!

After the rapids we headed further up the trail to the actual waterfall.  For a few glorious shots, the sun peeked out through the clouds and I got the backlighting that I love to shoot!

After we got our fill of waterfalls we left that area and followed the creek upstream to a crack between the rocks on one of the bluffs forming a cave.  Since it had been rainy recently there was still some water flowing down into the cave for maximum drama.  It really reminded me of being in Iceland!

On the way back to the parking lot we stopped by this tree that had fallen over the creek and got a few shots there also!

Can’t wait to work with Bekah again!
