For our “rest day” today, we all rented canyoneering shoes (and awful neoprene socks!) and headed out to hike the Narrows up the Virgin river.  I was a little worried about bringing my camera on such a wet hike, but I’m glad that I did. (and I managed to not drop it in the water!)

Most of the hike was walking through knee high water. Totally worth it.

This hike was stellar! (Had to get my thesaurus out to find replacement words for “amazing” because I keep needing to use it!) Seriously, I think this was my favorite part of the whole trip. The biking was fun, but you don’t get a sense of the scale of this place without being right deep down inside of it.  Jason kept telling me about all the other hikes in this area that he’d heard about and really really wanted to come back and do.  (Angel’s landing looks super intense…) Zion is now on our list of places we HAVE to come back and visit.
