As much as I enjoy Staniel Cay, there was more west wind on the way and it was time to move on. Since we didn’t enjoy the anchorage at pipe creek last time and the winds were a good direction we decided to just go for it and head all the way south to the safety of Georgetown and Elizabeth Harbor.

Before we left, however, I had to replace all of our cracked fuel lines on both main engines.  They were actually so damaged they were dripping fuel!

Such a fun day… not.

We did manage to have a little bit of fun and enjoy another beautiful sunset before bed.

Here’s jason swimming with some nurse sharks to get the pictures in a previous post.
Epic color on the sunset
This needs to be a painting I think.
Final fading light

After that fantastic sunset I figured we would just go to bed and sleep, right? No. A lightning storm was brewing just north of us.  I hate storms with a passion so I just had to sit there and watch it anxiously.  It was super concentrated lightning too, which was almost creepy. I even thought that maybe it was aliens.

Hard to capture on my iPhone but this is a long exposure shot with all the lightning.

The sunrise the next morning was epic though! I’ve never seen as many rainbows day after day as I have in the Bahamas!

Good morning Bahamas!
Rainbow!

We’ve got a sunrise and some coffee.  Time to pull the anchor and haul ass!
