After literally years of nagging dad to get rid of his borderline dangerous old Toyota, he finally caved in and traded it in on a Mercedes GLA 250! Talk about a big difference! This little thing is peppy to drive, quick to handle, has a luxurious interior, and it’s bright red!  (and it won’t kill you on the interstate…which is a nice feature also)

It’s been a few years since I’ve actually gone out with the sole purpose of taking pictures of a car.  That’s unfortunate because I really enjoyed it when I lived in florida.  I had locations scouted all throughout Bremerton and Port Orchard, however when we arrived downtown all of the roads I wanted were blocked off for a St. Patrick’s Day parade. We tried a few spots, but they were all terrible.  Eventually we made it back to Port Orchard mostly empty handed and tried a few parks and industrial areas.  Apparently most of the buildings up here are painted a yellow tinted shade of beige.  This color looks fine against orange, blue, or neutral cars, but looks like complete crap with bright red.  I did get a few photos I find acceptable, but they’re not really what I wanted.  Hopefully I’ll have time next weekend to try the parking garage I really wanted to hit up today.

This was actually in my garage. I isolated the car with the flash so you don’t have to see my mess in the background.
I liked the moody glow from the garage windows here.
Basic parking lot shot. Unimpress.
Beige wall.
Interesting foreground with the sewer cap
We ended up behind Tractor Supply
Off camera flash and a lot of photoshop…
It’s like a sedan with the trunk hacked off.
