So Ian had been looking at the maps on his phone and found this tiny blue spot indicating a lake up one of the random forest service roads in the mountains.  He really really really wanted to go check it out despite Jason and I telling him that it could be anything from nonexistent to a swamp, but he wanted it, so we bobbled along on this road for an hour until finally reaching said lake.  Turns out that Ian was right and the lake WAS there and it was super cute and tiny so of course we hiked down to it all the way out to it. The boys then key on to the fact that there are fish jumping in this tiny ass pond so Ian runs back to the truck to get his fishing pole (of course!). Let the games begin!

He’s absurdly happy when fishing.

Fish on!

They are super pretty little fish
Look at all of the spots!
Unfortunately this one didn’t survive the hook so we decided to humanely kill and eat it.
