One of the main attractions on Highway 101 in Northern California are the giant redwood trees and our route is taking us right through them! We saw multiple signs for roadside tourist traps and “drive thru trees” (for a fee of course!). We stopped at Humboldt Redwoods State Park, bypassing all of the touristy crap for a quiet and scenic walk through the woods.
My pictures don’t really do justice to how huge these trees are! It’s always a bit awe-inspiring to come here and walk between them.
