Ironically, while I sit here working on uploading my photos from tropical Hawaii, Washington gets the first storm of the year and the power has been out for 2 days.  It’s been like camping without any of the fun and I still have to go to work… Either way, we’re finally back in business! The internet, and more importantly, the heater, has been restored!

Apparently I’m going to do the stereotypical blogger thing and post photos of the food that I ate on my vacation.. But Hawaii’s famous shrimp trucks definitely deserve their own post!  I had the garlic shrimp. This consists of some sort of garlic gravy with super fresh shrimp (shell on!), 2 scoops of rice, a little salad, and edamame.  I’m going go to ahead and add this to my list of recipes that I need to locate on Pinterest later.  It was simple, filling, and utterly delicious.  Usually one would think that buying seafood out of the back of a van was a bad idea… but not anymore! 😉

Lets start off with the main meal. I'm lucky to get this photo as this stuff disappeared almost immediately!

Tips. It was so good we went back and tipped the guy a little extra. Totally worth it, especially since it was probably the best food we've eaten so far and it was super cheap by Hawaii standards!

That pineapple rice sounded really good also. I should have gotten leftovers.

If you’re even in Oahu, track this place down and eat there. Try to eat there twice if you can.
