Had most of Jason’s family in town last week.  We had a pretty epic time hiking and eating awesome food!

Hurricane Ridge is always gorgeous, which is why we take pretty much all our visitors up there.  It was unfortunately a little clouded in this time, but still awesome. After a short hike fueled by our kickass breakfast at the Oak Table, we cruised on over to Port Townsend to wander aimlessly, do some shopping, visit a brewery, and eat awesome pizza.

The next morning we slept in (awesome!) and then dropped the boat (and the crab pots)  in the water and headed over to Seattle for more random wandering around. Apparently we all hate planning. Hey, whatever works.

The next morning we headed down to Lake Cushman to hike the Staircase trail down along the river.  That’s one of our favorites.  Still gives the rainforest feel without having to drive all the way over there….and it’s just darn pretty!

Went to Anthony’s for dinner and I had mussels for the first time. Never really realized they were food.  We’ll have to head out to the ocean and gather them sometime. Also had peach cobbler. Yum.
