Ketchikan was my favorite stop of the trip. Perched, occasionally precariously, between the sea and the mountains it was a fun mix of fishing, history, art, and was, overall, a lively and interesting place to spend a day exploring. I’d like to come back here again sometime. A single day wasn’t enough!
We eventually made our way back to the center of town and followed to the signs to the historical Creek Street district. The area used to be home to multiple brothels but now only has a museum and a few shops. All of the buildings are built on pilings out over the creek.
