I think I was more excited for this car show than I was for Christmas last year! Billetproof is my absolute favorite car show of the year and while I yet again failed to find the motivation to finish my ’37, I still love going to the show and seeing all the cars. Billetproof isn’t another one of those early morning meets with the row of shiny red 60’s musclecars and pastel painted street rods… not at all! The focus here is pre ’63 traditional kustoms, hot rods, rat rods… in various stages of building or disrepair. There’s always something unique and interesting even on the most godawful ugly of cars. That’s my favorite part… seeing the stuff that people come up with when they’re left to their own devices to create the car however they want to and not having to follow the conventional “street rod” guidelines. The other part of the show is filled with live rockabilly bands, pin up girls prowling the crowds for photos, delicious fair food, and a swap meet! One thing I noticed this year is how many flathead powered cars there were, along with quite a few early 50’s Chevy’s. (Those just happen to be Jason’s favorite!) I may have finally regained my motivation to work on my truck and get the flatbed and front suspension done after sitting on it for way way too long. Either way, here are the pictures! 🙂
These were just a few of my favorites from the show. I’m still going through all my photos! More to come! 🙂
