We leave on our big sailboat vacation TOMORROW (yay!) so last weekend we took the boat out just to make sure it wasn’t going to catch fire and to see what all we needed that wasn’t already there. Like kitchen towels, etc. The destination we had in mind was Poulsbo because it was a nice little day trip, but not too far away and the tides were with us. Sounds like a plan!  When we pulled up to the dock, however, we noticed that the waterfront was a sea of white tents and people… We had managed to visit the quiet little town of Poulsbo during Viking Fest, their biggest event of the year.

So yeah, it was a pretty fun afternoon to walk around and visit all the booths, but it didn’t take long for us to get tired of the crowds of people, so we headed back to our trusty boat and motored back home! She should be good to go for our trip! 🙂

As a bit of a catch up, we also went to Lake Crescent up on the peninsula. It’s a super duper clear freshwater lake. This was my first open water dive that wasn’t for training purposes! It was cold as hell, but I really really wish I had my camera with me!
