I’ve been mildly obsessed with custom cruiser bicycles lately and just happened to find the perfect one to build up for Jason just an hour south of Sedona.  That turns into today’s side quest.  After acquiring the bicycle we took the long way home through the desert and mountains through the town of Jerome that our neighbors at the campground told us was worth a stop! They were right!  Jerome is a quirky old mining town perched precariously on the side of a cliff overlooking a large valley.  The vibe here really reminds me of Eureka Springs in Arkansas with a bunch of fun, unique stores, restaurants, and coffee shops. A few of the old buildings remain in ruins in the town to show the history and the current mine is visible in the distance.  This place was definitely worth the stop!

The road looks like it just drops offf. One wrong move and it does!
